This entire movie feels less like a prequel and more like an hour and a half Act 1 for, maybe not a BETTER movie, but at least a more interesting movie that just *stops* before we even start Act 2!

The 2nd film is arguably the 2nd best out of the trilogy and not a bad film at all. Is this franchise called "Lightning McQueen" or "Racing"? *NO* the movie is called "Cars" Cars 2 was ruined by the racing not the espionage. Cars 2 was made to be different from the first film. Just because Lightning was the main character of the first film does not make him the main character of the franchise. I agree Mater as a main character is a bad idea and i saw that in the film. The 2nd movie was made to expand on the world of Cars not expand on Lightning. The movie was bad because people thought "oH LiGhTnInG iSNt tHe MAiN ChArACTeR ANd THe ENtIrE CReW OtHeR ThAn mATeR geTS HARdly anY ScReEn TImE aNDd alL ThiS spY STuF MkEs It sO bAD!!" The movie cars was supposed to introduce us to a world where cars replace humans and most machines and vehicles are alive. Cars 2 was not made to expand Lightning or his Radiator Springs team it was made to expand the world BUT THEN THE RACING MESSES IT UP! The racing is in there cause its a sequel and it would be odd without the main cast but IT WOULDNT IF THEY DID IT RIGHT AND CORRECTLY. People are always saying the movie sucked cause lightning wasn't the main focus, the spy stuff was to weird, and it doesn't work. The spy stuff was the best but it gets weighed down by the racing making the film worse and making Finn McMissle aka the best character in the film looked worse cause his screen time kept getting wacked down. AND STOP COMAPRING CARS TO PEOPLE SOMETIMES TO MAKE SOMETHING NOT MAKE SENSE AND THEN DONT COMPARE THEM WHEN YOU CAN TO MAKE SOMETHING MAKE SENSE ITS STUPID. If you ask me Finn's intro is better than both the first and third film. And back on the video "THIS BOAT IS ON SCREEN WHEN THE MOVIE IS CARS" that's dumb because THERES A BLIMP AND PLANES IN THE FIRST FILM. The burger section I'm ngl makes you sound autistic OKAY IM SORRY BUT IT DOES. Now if your defending cars why are you just defending Lightning and the first film only cause of pure nostalgia. Yes mater has an arc and yes there are no character arc BECAUSE ITS A LITERAL SEQUEL WHERE THE CHARACTERS ALREADY HAD THEIR ARS IN THE FIRST FILM. These new characters however in the 2nd film don't EVEN NEED ARCS. Using Mater for more money cause of how loved he was yeah that's true and i cant deny it. WOW OMG THE FIRST AND 2ND FILM WONT HAVE THE EXACT SAME INTROS WELL WHO WOULD HAVE KNOWN?!?!??! "Its just this long spy scene with characters we have never met."wow its almost like we are trying to meet a new character like its the entire purpose of the film. Also this intro is better than the first film but my opinion. As a reminder THERE WERE PLANES AND A BLIMP YET YOU DONT COMPLAIN BUT WHENA BOAT APPEARS YOU DO?!?! "Aka Finn Mc-not-Mcqueen" That/s literally meat-riding in the first degree your talking abt how much Lightning is better WHEN HES NOT. They are equal and hold their own place. Finn just had bad writing. "An iconic setup to a meh action scene" First of all both setups are iconic when's the last time you saw a spy car with guns oh that's right never. 2nd off the action scene is awesome af you can NOT deny that bro. Finn is not boring he has incredible charisma, awesome tools, extreme intelligence, and epic plays. He's not boring he's different spot the difference. "Its dumb to watch cars do this stuff" I fully agree that its dumb BUT ITS COOL AT THE SAME TIME! No Finn is not immune to gravity you i think are a little immune to logic when he has literal magnet wheels. "Why does he need an oxygen mask?" The simple answer is because THEY REPLACE HUMANS and cars need oxygen AND WON'T WORK UNDERWATER so he uses something so he can breath and live. "My love" *i can fricking tell.* I think this isa me thing but i cant tell the quality difference but everybody even the fowarders of the film so i wont tamper with that. Bro finally said something good about the film do my eyes deceive me? Talking about that tiny little fence bro come on that's just for setting and basic atmosphere that's like getting mad about a WW2 video when there's a shoe that didn't come out till 2020 that adds 0 relevance to anything. "I am baby raging-" Stop right there you speak facts for 2nd time ever. Once again getting and about a plane in this film when there's a whole blimp in the first film. Axelrod leaks the oil you can literally see it if you look close and Mater never leaks. "Whys the car have hair?" I'm ngl that isn't like the fence you mentioned that's plain no explanation wtf. I agree it isn't as heartwarming BECAUSE IT ISNT SUPPOSED TO BE ITS A SPY MOVIE. These old characters just ruin the movie cause they got to be shoved in there. "Kung fu not entertaining" It is funny to see Mater look like he's on some stuff okay but in general that scene is stupid af. While your right the damage isn't as bad that's because THEY CANT HAVE EVERY CHARACTER EXPLODE IN A "CHILDRENS" MOVIE. The first film IS NOT THE SAME. ITS NOT ALL THE SAME FILM. Cars 2 is supposed to be a spy film but with forced in old characters while Cars 1 is a story and heartwarming experience. Everybody would be mad about cars 1 like Cars 2 if Cars 2 came out before Cars 1. I agree on the stupid dialouge though that's the only thing i didn't enjoy about the movie apart from lightning and the gang ruining it. "In a good world there's only the first and third" Actually in a good world Cars 2 would not have Lightning and stuff ruining the entire movie so that way there would only be 2 good films the first and 2nd. Your welcome for your proper education.

Not so long ago I was wondering which adaptation is worse: Artemis or The Last Airbender. And I realized that while TLA was atrocious, it AT LEAST had the same premise and followed more or less the plot of the show: the Fire Nation trying to conquer the world and wiping out the Air Nomads, the frozen Avatar, two siblings freeing him from the ice, then going for a journey together, practicing bending, Zuko trying to capture Aang, arriving at the North Pole and the final confrontation. Artemis Fowl technically had the same premise (a kid being a criminal mastermind, discovering fairies to capture one of them) but Artemis felt nothing like an evil genius, instead of discovering the fairy world, he was just told about it and he did capture Holly but for an entirely different reason. There was also a fight at the end and the similarities end here.

When I was little,I saw this with all the characters I used to see in the other movies with Devon and Zachary,and I thought "this isn't Rodrick and Greg".No one can replace them.I would like the same characters even if it meant we have to see them older

My main complaint is they completely skipped over the kids. We can’t sympathize with most of them bc they all get like no lines or screen time. Sunset wasn’t like “I was first.” And then someone would’ve said “Then me.” Etc. they should’ve focused on how the kids were lured by William more. Also shown William more. His introduction what the end was so cool but so outta place. 🙏⁉️‼️⁉️
